Haddon Hall in Spring

Springtime flowers

Springtime flowersSpring is definitely here, with hints of summer on a sunny afternoon.

Haddon Hall has thrown its doors open – Saturday through Monday in April, then daily (except May 30th and 31st).

This is my very favourite house to visit round here. Described by Simon Jenkins as “the most perfect house to survive from the middle ages”, parts of Haddon Hall date from the C12. And the terraced gardens are stunning right through the summer.
